I draw inspiration from every day life experiences and I apply these experiences pedagogically. I am aware that a lot of teachers are very set in their ways and don't want to try to go to the unorthodox side because they fear the unknown or simply fear failing in case students can't benefit from an unorthodox approach. I am not perfect but I guarantee anyone who is willing to try to look outside the box that there is some gain waiting.
